You’re right, she doesn’t, which is why when Mrs. Unfocused spotted The Mysterious Benedict Society at the bookstore at the beach, she bought ostensibly for herself.

Mrs. Unfocused says she knows she owes you a phone call and will, if she can remember how to use a telephone, call you back.

It doesn’t sound like Unfocused Girl needs anything else to read right now, but if she has not yet read The Mysterious Benedict Society, I think it’s right up her alley. AJ loved it and he’s already plunged ahead with book 2, but has kindly agreed to let me read it aloud to him anyway, “because the really good books you sometimes need to read a lot.”

Zoe’s Tale is very good, and fills in some of the gaps in The Last Colony.

Maybe Superman would never have a cast, but Batman’s arm gets broken in The Dark Knight Returns, which I showed to Junior shortly after the Unfortunate Incident (and no, I didn’t let him look at the whole thing, just a couple of carefully selected pages — Frank Miller doesn’t write for four year olds).

I take if Zöe’s Tale was good since you read it so fast. I’ve read the other OMW books, so it is just a matter of time until I get to it.

Great news about Jr’s cast. I’m sure he’s happy. And he’s right, Superman would never have a cast. :)
